SYNLawn adds a little GREEN to Georgia Street in Downtown Indianapolis

On a warm January 7^th Indiana-owned SYNScapes of Indiana (SYNLawn Indiana) installed artificial turf in six large planting beds on Georgia Street in Downtown Indianapolis to beautify entry points of Indy’s newest urban outdoor event venue. The Team chose SYNLawn’s SYNTipede Platinum 351 artificial grass to create a warm, aesthetically-pleasing winter landscape along the key intersections of Georgia at Capitol, Illinois, Meridian and Pennsylvania Streets.  “We are very pleased to be a part of something special and significant to Indianapolis,” relayed SYNLawn Indiana's owner Anastasia Phillips.  Caught up in the contagious spirit of city pride, SYNLawn and its Indiana Distributor – the Phillips family – donated nearly $14,000 of product and installation services to what many are calling Indy’s “hottest” urban pedestrian venue. “Our vision was to enhance strategic entry points along Georgia Street so the area would be as picturesque as a possible for the barrage of national and international media and visitors expected to visit Indianapolis in the near future. And based on the overwhelmingly positive reaction of downtown pedestrians, our mission was accomplished!”

In October 2011, SYNLawn Indiana suggested the addition of SYNTipede Platinum 351 – a technologically-advanced medium-length grass embedded with brown thatch to mimic live grass – to Georgia Street as a way to create an aesthetically-pleasing look during cooler weather.  Made from recycled water bottles and soybean oil, SYNLawn is an environmentally-friendly alternative to natural grass. SYNLawn is 100% made in America. It is an excellent alternative to ignitable mulch as it has Class I and Class II fire ratings. Additionally, clean up becomes quicker because a blower, broom or vacuuming device replaces the need to manually pick up trash from the surface.
